God’s Plan For Our Life

Sermon Notes

Psalm 16:11 Thou wilt shew the path of life: in thy presence is fulness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.

  1. Thou wilt shew me the path of life, God has a path for us and he will show it to us.

    1. God’s design and order can be seen everywhere in the planetary system’ the leaves of the trees, grass, flowers, sunshine, and every raindrop and snowflake that flows from the sky. God created them.

    2. The same God who brought design and order to nature also has a plan for the “crow” of his creation, you and I. There is not one snowflake that is like another. They are all different. Isaiah 45:12 I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

    3. God’s word sheds light on our path. God’s plan of redemption is revealed through his word. Psalms 119:105 Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.

  1. In thy presence is fullness of joy God presence give us the fullness of joy.

    1. God has made provision in his plan of salvation for us to personally enjoy his presence with us. John 14:16 And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever.

    2. The Holy Spirit cleanses and fills us with God’s love when we commit ourselves to God without reservation.

    3. Spirit-filled Christians are empowered to do God’s work. They pray for others and witness to the unsaved about Jesus Christ. Acts 1:8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.

  2. At thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore, your pleasures are at the right hand of God.

    1. There are times in the life of every Christina when contrary winds blow and sorrow is deep and darkling. But know this that God has you in his hands, He said once you’re in My hands no one can plus you out.

    2. Before Jesus left this earth, he promised to go and prepare a place for those who love him. There he will live with them eternally.

Conclusion: You should strive to bring your friends and loved ones into God’s fold that they may share his unending pleasures.
