When You Pray

Prayer is your will submitted to God’s will based upon the authority of the word. Activated by faith, producing the desires of your heart. In other words, we petition God by praying for His will.

Mark 11:24 Jesus said these words, therefore I say unto you, what things so ever you desire, when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you shall have them. 1 John 5:14 And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us:

Matthew 6:5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.

A hypocrite is somebody who gives a false appearance of having admirable principles, beliefs, or feelings. 3 John 1:2  Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth. Jesus said these words, I come that you will have and that you will have more abundantly.

Matthew 6:6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.

Psalm 73:17 One day I went into your SANCTUARY. Then I understood. I thought about their end.

Matthew 6:7  But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.

Matthew 6:8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.

Matthew 6:9 After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.

After you have addressed God, “Hallowed be thy name” you can tell him all about it. You don’t have to use fancy words or vain repetition. Just talk to God. Have a conversation with him.

Conclusion: God doesn’t honor checks where there are no deposits.
